Champagne

Champagne Dhondt-Grellet is a renowned family-owned winery located in the Côte des Blancs region of Champagne, France, specifically in Flavigny, near Avize. Established in 1986 by Eric Dhondt and Edith Grellet, the estate spans approximately six hectares of vineyards, predominantly planted with Chardonnay, sourced from prestigious Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites in Cramant, Chouilly, and Cuis. Additionally, the estate cultivates Pinot Noir in Avenay-Val-d’Or, situated in the Grande Vallée de la Marne.

In 2010, Adrien Dhondt, the couple’s son, took on the role of head winemaker at just 25 years old. Under his leadership, the estate transitioned to biodynamic viticulture in 2013, further enhancing the expression of its unique terroirs.

Champagne Dhondt-Grellet offers a range of cuvées that reflect the estate’s commitment to quality and terroir-driven expression. Notable wines from the estate include:

Cramant Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut: A refined, elegant expression of Chardonnay sourced from the iconic Cramant Grand Cru vineyard, renowned for its precision and finesse.

Les Nogers 1er Cru Extra-Brut: A parcellaire cuvée from old vines adjacent to Cramant, showcasing a textured profile with delicate notes of almond, brioche, and tropical fruit.

Le Bateau Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru: A remarkable wine from vines planted in 1951 in Cramant, delivering complexity, depth, and a luxurious creamy mouthfeel.

Champagne Dhondt-Grellet’s dedication to biodynamic farming and minimal intervention winemaking results in champagnes that are complex, expressive, and true to their origin.
