Domaine de la Bergerie de l’Arcade

Languedoc Roussilon

Domaine de la Bergerie de l’Arcade is located in Pouzols, in Languedoc, southwestern France. It belongs to Pascal and Gilles Soulas, who come from a family of farmers that used to cultivate fruit trees. They learned winemaking alongside the renowned winemaker Laurent Vaillé of Domaine de la Grange des Pères. From the very beginning, they adopted organic and manual methods to manage their vineyards and throughout the winemaking process.

Their first vintage was marketed in 2016, and since day one, the wines have achieved cult status due to their incredible complexity and finesse, without the heaviness often associated with many wines from the region. Production is limited. Their wines often feature rich fruit flavors balanced by woody notes, delivering a sensory experience that reflects the unique terroir of the area.

The red wine is a blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre. It is aged for 12 months in oak barrels and then for 10 months in vats.

Due to our long and close relationship with Laurent Vaillé (unfortunately, Laurent passed away unexpectedly a few years ago under tragic circumstances), POB managed to secure a nice allocation from this fine domaine right from the start, just before the demand and prices for their wines began to soar. We are excited to share these unique wines with our customers.
